Just finished reading.....
Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx. I think Proulx has a great writing style although the technique she has employed in this work is very different from that in The Shipping News. The story reads well and confronts the issues of homosexuality, clandestine love, societal responses to homosexaul love, homophobia, friendship and farming communities in the mid west of America.I anticipate that director Ang Lee will deliver the same sensitive nuances to the movie. I also wonder whether the movie will be as graphic given that the two leads are popular actors and so called heterosexual pin up boys?
